Disney World Ride Closures & Refurbishments in April
Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort: Fantasia Pool (main pool) will be closed January - April 2025. The Duck Pond pool will remain open at this time.
Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Bay Lake Tower - room refurbishments will take place from September 2024 - September 2025. Expect to see and hear construction during daytime hours.
Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resorts: Storm-along Bay and Shipwreck pool will be closed January 2025 - June 2025.
Disney’s Yacht Club Resort will undergo refurbishments from January 2025 - May 2025. Expect to see and hear construction during daytime hours. Resort amenities, except for the pool, will remain open.

Special Events at Disney World in April:
Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival - 2025 Dates to be Announced. This beautiful event is included with park admission and features whimsical topiaries, special displays, gardening seminars, and Garden Rocks mini-concerts at the American Gardens Theatre stage at at 5:30 PM, 6:45 PM and 8:00 PM. runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend - April 3-6, 2025. This won’t significantly affect you in the parks but will affect availability at the hotels and traffic around the resort on the morning of run events. Contact us today to make your hotel reservation.

Crowd Warnings for Disney World in April:
Spring Break Season 2025: Crowds will stay in the moderate-to-high zone for all of March but start decreasing around March 26, 2023. They increase from April 13 -24 . The highest crowd levels will be from March 8 - 19, 2025. Get to the theme parks before they open to enjoy the lowest crowds of the day or stay until the last two (2) hours of the day.
Thoughts on Early Entry - Every day, all four Disney World theme parks open 30 to 60 minutes prior to the general posted opening time for guests staying at the official Disney World resort hotels and select “Good Neighbor” hotels. This is a fantastic perk for those who qualify and is a great time to ride one or two popular rides. It is still a good idea for off-site guests to arrive prior to posted park opening time because the first hour of the day tends to be less crowded but you’ll also see crowds decrease for the last two (2) hours before closing.
Fantasmic! at Disney's Hollywood Studios (returning sometime in 2022) - Fantasmic! will probably have at least one performance every night in April. When two or three performances are offered, the later performances will always be less crowded than the earlier show. Warning: This show is excellent but it does feature villains for a good 8-10 minutes and the lake catches fire, which can be frightening to some small children.
