B Resort and Spa is an updated tower hotel with 394 rooms and suites and is an alternative to the Disney World value and moderate resorts. The hotel has a contemporary look and feel with splashes of bright colors. There is a very nice outdoor area with a zero-depth entry swimming pool area and lounging space. The hotel is within walking distance of Disney Springs though shuttle service is offered in the evening. The on-site Enterprise Car Rental desk makes it easy and convenient to get a car for a day or two to check out Universal Orlando, nearby beaches and other area attractions.

This hotel can be booked as part of a Disney World vacation package and has partnered with Disney to offer some wonderful benefits usually only available to guests at the official on-site hotels like:

• Complimentary bus transportation to the Disney theme parks,

• Early Theme Park Entry: Enter all four Disney World theme parks 30-minutes ahead of the general public (ticket required).

• Guests at this hotel receive a Disney Springs Passport to Savings booklet with Disney Springs discount.

B Resort & Spa Pro & Con

Advantages: Most of the value and moderate hotels at the Disney World resort are large with multiple buildings and external walkways so it can be a bit of a hike to get to transportation or the food court but the B Resort and Spa is a tower hotel with internal halls and a spacious lobby featuring a Disney gift shop and restaurants. The bright, contemporary style of the hotel will appeal to tweens and teens and adults; the glass elevator and pool, which is just steps from the buildings, will appeal to younger children. These features and the smaller size of the hotel are really wonderful for families with small children, guests with mobility issues and anyone who appreciates the convenience of having everything in one place. Proximity to Disney Springs is another nice feature of this hotel. The transportation to the Disney theme parks is reliable, has great hours and is far, far superior to that of most off-site hotels that advertise shuttles. You do not pay daily resort fees at this location when booked as part of a Disney vacation package; daily resort fees apply when booked separately. Having a car rental location on-site is SO handy when you just need a car for a day or two to experience other area attractions.

Disadvantages: While the lobby area always looks great, guest housekeeping services has a reputation for being a bit hit or miss. You do not pay a resort fee when you book this hotel as part of a Disney vacation package but you may have to pay a resort fee when booked separately and it isn’t cheap – currently $30 per night; add the $22 per night parking fee and you’re paying a significant amount above the posted rate. Upon check-in, an authorization is run on the card for the total cost plus $50 per room for any incidental charges. Card will not be charged prior to check-out. For Debit cards, a hold will be placed on the account for the full anticipated cost of the stay + $50.

Note: Because of the location of the pool in relation to the tower, the pool is shaded in the afternoons. This is great when Florida is hot but may make the pool area too chilly to enjoy during the cooler season.

Rooms are located in 2 areas: Tower and 2-story Lanai, similar to Disney’s Contemporary Resort Tower and Garden Wing.  Tower rooms do not have accessible balconies or patios, 2nd Floor Lanai near the tower have balconies.   Most rooms only have showers.  There are 13 chic queen rooms in the hotel with a standard tub/shower; most rooms have showers only. 

• Chic Queen – 2 queen size beds, located in the Lanai section of the hotel, floors 1 & 2.  Some of these rooms have a standard tub/shower.

• Captivating Queen - 2 queen size beds + sleeper sofa, located on the lower floors of the Tower Building, no balconies.

• Captivating King – 1 King-size bed + sleeper sofa, located on the lower floors of the Tower Building, no balconies.

Our Opinion of B Resort & Spa - Disney Springs

B Resort and Spa is a nice addition to the Disney World value and moderate resorts, offering guests comfortable rooms, on-site dining and convenient amenities. The hotel’s contemporary white public areas interspersed with bright splashes of colors and lounging areas is fun. Access to the Disney theme parks and Disney Springs is great, of course, but this hotel understands that vacations should also include lounging and relaxation and they offer lots of opportunities to do that near the pool, in the lobby, and at their on-site spa. The one thing I really don’t love about this resort is their relatively high resort and parking fees - you’ll want to get estimates of total costs with all fees to determine true value when comparing to the official Disney World hotels which do charge for parking but don’t charge resort fees. The Disney Springs resort area is safe and convenient and is lovely with big trees and wide sidewalks. It is a great option if you want a comfortable and convenient hotel with exclusive Disney hotel perks and benefits but guests looking for a Disney themed experience may be happier at one of the Disney World resorts.
